The Duluth/Superior area has a vast array of museums celebrating the history and culture of our region and beyond.  Whether you are a local or a visitor, there are plenty of places to visit for an enjoyable and educational experience!

Lake Superior Railroad Museum is one of the top 5 railroad museums in North America and features a 1900's mainstreet complete with theatre and storefronts.  Gleensheen - The Historic Estate is a 39-room mansion and is Minnesota's premier history house museum.  Great Lakes Aquarium is home to a variety of species fround primarily in the Great Lakes Basin, as well as, exhibits that show animals from both freshwater and marine habitats around the world.  S.S. William A. Irvin Ship Museum carried iron ore and coal for over 40 years to Great Lakes Ports.  Lake Superior Maritime Visitors Center has artifacts, programs, and educational exhibits that describe the history of Duluth and Superior Harbor, Lake Superior and the St. Lawrence Seaway.  Lake Superior Zoo is home to hundreds of native animals and exotic species.  Duluth Children's Museum is the fifth oldest children's museum in the nation.
